As some of you may know, I’m a bit of a ŠKODA fan... okay I’m a massive ŠKODA fan.
This ŠKODA 1000MB is astonishingly perfect as far as I’m concerned. It’s rear engined, rear wheel drive, has three pedals, and an aluminum block. It’s basically a Czech 4 door 911.
Look at those fender vents, just like a 991 Turbo! Plus, it only has 14,850 km on the clock.

I’m fully in love with these little cars. Importing one would make for a unique daily driver. What does Oppo think?

If you have a short commute, and if you have a healthy self-hatred, why not? I’d DD one, because my level of self-hatred is in the red zone.

Port the heads, maybe make a couple extra horses, enjoy the goofy fun.

I’d absolutely drive that car every day. It’s beautiful. And I bet it’s loads of fun to drive if you enjoy a challenge.

I’m with you fella. I love Skodas, they’re awesome.
I’d love an original Superb.

It’s pretty simple, too, I think, so as long as you’re ok with ordering parts from overseas, it shouldn’t be especially difficult to work on.

Oh, I forgot how terrible the Czech postal system is. That could be an issue :)

I’m going to try and not post so many pictures of Skodas in the future as there are a few people on here who really want a Skoda and can’t have one for various reasons.

We can import these classics, which is awesome. Unfortunately, vRS Octavias are a long way away.

10/10 would DD. It’s basically a mini-Tatra but with less of that inherent death thing and a much much lower price tag. It is still a rear engined Czech menace though so you’re getting a pretty good deal.

I wish people hadn’t recently realized how awesome Tatra’s are, so I could have eventually afforded one.

Tell me about it. There was a company in the UK that imported T700s and converted them to RHD for a while, but good luck finding them.
Personally, I'd absolutely love a T613 :) one of my favourite cars

Does this one have the same engine as the Rapid with an alloy block and a cast-iron head?
Odd way to do things, but I bet it has it’s benefits.

I’m impressed that they could get that many vectors with only 1000 megabytes to work with.

Big Skoda fan as well! I have a weird love for the Skoda 105/120/125/130/135/136...they were sold here in parts of Canada by an independent distributor at one point! :)
Also, the ones in the ARMA II / DayZ Mod computer games were always my favorite ride... :P
Plus, who can say no to a piano-hinged Frunk, come on!!! :D

Hey, in 1965 1000MB was probably more memory than every computer on earth had combined.
Also, MB= Mlada Boleslav.

If you have issues you could swap in a later 130 series/Rapid all alloy engine. Made a little more horsepower too :)

Performance is a fun rabbit hole to go down, it’d probably end up here:
